Main uses

It is ideal for heavily trafficked floor joints, sealing movement joints in building and civil engineering structures, including superstructures, basements and subways.

Thioflex 600 gun grade is suitable for general application. Packed in a 2.5 litre tin containing the base and curing agent, it is ready to mix in the appropriate ratios. Thioflex 600 polysulphide mastic sealant is highly recommended for use in buildings that are high rise and other applications where access for subsequent maintenance will be difficult with the risk of early movement failure being minimised. It's also perfect for sealing joints in brickwork, retaining walls, basements and subway on both new builds and remedial locations.

Thioflex 600 pouring grade is supplied in a 5 litre tin, which contains both the base component and also the hardener within a removable tray. It is recommended for initial sealing of expansion joints and stress relief joints in floors and sealing other horizontal surfaces.

Durable Chemical Resistance

Thioflex 600 delivers outstanding resistance to water, dilute acids, alkalis, and common fuels or oils, ensuring long-term performance in harsh industrial and civil conditions. As a neutral pH, high-purity polysulphide sealant, it serves critical infrastructure and high-movement applications while maintaining structural integrity and without suffering degradation.


Versatile Application Range

This elastomeric sealant can be used across a broad temperature range (-20C to +70C) and applied at 5C to 50C. Thioflex 600 accommodates joint movement up to 25% and retains its flexibility with an elongation at break of over 300%. It forms a strong adhesive bond with diverse substrates such as concrete, brick, metal, glass, and stone.


Simple Mixing and Application

Supplied in modular base and curing agent packs, Thioflex 600 requires mixing at a precise 92.8:7.2 ratio by weight. The mixed material is a grey or off-white paste, easily tooled for up to 40 minutes at 27C and tack-free within 6-8 hours. Initial set occurs in 16-24 hours, achieving full cure in 7 days, with no melting or boiling and minimal water content.
